2016 Hot Air Balloon Festival

A Week of everything that flies!

My first solo travel to Pampanga was to enjoy and experience The Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival. The festival runs from February 11-14 2016, I went there during the last day of the festival.

I left Victory Liner Cubao Station at 10:20AM and arrived in Dau Pampanga Bus Terminal Station at around 1:00PM, imagine the traffic and I came from my night shift.

The Winter Sun is up as Brad Go describes it, he was performing live, and it was the first time I heard of his songs, which I find very interesting. The crowd is going crazy and it was fun watching him and his band performed, he gave out some cool stuff to the participating audience. Check out more about Brad Go by following his social media accounts.

After Brad Go performed there are series of events, and it was a good opportunity to practice my skills using Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm lens.

Snow Cone – shave of ice with orange flavored syrup, its one of the refreshment I enjoyed besides the sun is up and its was hot.

Food and Drinks are not a problem since there are food stalls inside the event ground, there’s even Jollibee! – and if there’s a Jollibee food stall why not a Jollibee Flying Kite!
 ***
I never imagine the number of crowd attending the event considering its the last day and it was February 14!

As the sun goes down the I tried my best to capture a good shot of the kites flying while the sun is setting down.
After a few minutes of waiting the Balloon Night Glow have already started, apparently with so many people waiting for it getting a good shot was a challenge as most of them had their Selfie Pod / Selfie Stick with them.

I believe this is the official Philippine Hot Air Balloon since it has the Philippine Flag.

The night was young and there was a live band playing while the Night Glow is on going.
