Got my new iPhone 11 Pro

iPhone Battery Health, what is it really,

Ok, I’m not expert about iPhone but I’ve done a couple of googling before writing this post, also listen to 5 Adele songs just to relax while taking my cup of coffee.

A friend of mine once ask me, whats the battery health of your iPhone? I answered with 87% referring to the battery percentage indicator in my iPhone, she was surprised and then ask for permission to check my iPhone.

my iPhone 7 Battery health – been using it for 4 years now

I have to say that right there and then I did not know what she was talking about, it was a funny moment and I learned a lot from that conversation.

Most of our devices now a days run in battery, common for phone manufacturers to use a lithium ion battery.

Lithium Ion Battery are designed to be rechargeable battery compared to their counter part which is the Lithium battery.

Apple uses Lithium Ion Battery for their devices and for the past 2-3 years we have been getting reports and issues about iPhones having issues with their batteries.

Last time Apple released an update that slows down older iPhones such as iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 and iPhone SE.

The update was meant to extend the battery life of those iPhone models by slowing down their performance due to their aging battery. And of course the response of the Apple users are not good, since this affected the performance of their phones which meant it has become sluggish.

Lithium Ion battery life is about 2 – 3 years or 300 to 500 charge cycles, which ever occurs first.

Now, Apple users with updated version of iOS has now what we called Battery Health Tool. It now shows the user helpful details about their iPhones battery.

The longer you have your iPhone the lower the battery health of it as it degrades due to aging.

My iPhone 5c even had a boated battery, I think its another story though.

For now happy to have iPhone 11 Pro and thank you iPhone 7 for being tough. Just hold on there buddy.
