The Mandalorian is a new Star Wars series streaming in Disney+
The Mandalorian follows the story of a lone Bounty Hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.
If you haven’t seen the series, let me warn you that there might be some spoiler in this post, continue at your own risk.
I have to say that The Mandalorian series has a great influence in my decision of creating a Bounty Hunter playable character in Star Wars The Old Republic,
The Bounty Hunter story line starts with the goal of winning the Great Hunt, the story is well established and I found some similarity with Disney+ The Mandalorian story.
The Mandalorian story evolves with Mando short for Mandalorian, he takes bounty for credits or trade for a valuable item, as seen in the series their great interest with a rarest metal known as Beskar.
while Mando takes bounty and earn his reputation in the guild, the Bounty Hunter in Star Wars The Old Republic takes bounty for credits and reputation in order to join the Great Hunt.
The Mandalorian story line follows the fall of the Empire before the birth of the First Order.
While as we know that the story of the Star Wars The Old Republic happens years before the story of the Star Wars Movies or even the arc of the Skywalkers.
There are elements in the Mandalorian series that are eye catchy and nostalgic for a Star Wars fan,
From the Space ship and space travel of the Mandalorian
The Twi’lek and Ugnaughts
The speeder bike
The remaining forces of the Empire,
The Child displaying as we know “The Force”
Also we do know that The Child and Jedi Grand Master Yoda are of the same species and both are force sensitive,
While it is unclear if they are some how related, or if by any chance in the near future of the series that Jedi Grand Master Yoda will show himself in a form of force ghost to the Child and be its guide,
And the iconic Bounty Hunter Armor that mando is wearing right now, which I believe is still not the complete armor set.
So what I’m saying is that the Star Wars series The Mandalorian brings us back to the Star Wars universe both the old and the new.
While there are still some questions waiting to be answer as we wait for the next installment of the series.
Based from the statement of Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian Season 2 is coming by fall of 2020.
Until then we have the Star Wars The Old Republic Bounty Hunter storyline to play with.
